Project Manager

Summary
As a Project Manager you will develop innovative consumer products that bridge the worlds of desktop computers and mobile phones as part of a tight-knit product team. You will play a key role in on-going product development, creating detailed product requirements, wireframes and having complete oversight of the intended user experience. As a leader of a cross-functional team you'll work closely with engineering and development to bring the vision of the product to life both online and on mobile. Project Managers are responsible for the continued care and feeding of their products: listening to users, monitoring and maintaining growth, increasing engagement, and lengthening retention as critical business metrics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with senior management to develop and execute on project roadmap and strategy
  • Deliver timely product specifications with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Lead cross functional team on iterative development lifecycle from kickoff through deployment, driving toward timely completion
  • Guide other members of the team on other product initiatives in a managerial support capacity, acting as coach and stepping in when necessary to keep the project on track
  • Act as a leader within the department, as well as within the company
Requirements
  • 4 years of Consumer Internet/E-Commerce experience, with at least 2 years in a project/product management role working on consumer-focused online applications or within consumer media properties
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, on complex business factors and product design elements. Should be able to converse fluently with both technical and non-technical personnel on business issues
  • High energy, creativity, and customer-focus with a passion for the mobile market
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully planning and managing project implementations from start to finish. Must have firsthand experience with all stages of the product development life-cycle, from requirements gathering to release
  • Works well with other business units, particularly engineering, as well as with all levels of management within the organization. Must have the ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships
  • Entrepreneurial drive with proven track record of product delivery in a fast paced environment
